This paper is intended to provide enough detail for an experienced PRICE Hardware client to understand the primary features of the True Hardware model. This paper will include a discussion of why PRICE developed a new “architecture” and Hardware estimating model

James E. Otte
Mr. Otte is the Director, Aerospace Practice, with PRICE Systems L.L.C., a privately held company in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. PRICE is the world leader in Parametric Planning, Estimating, and Budgeting tools and services with clients in the North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.
As Director of the Aerospace Practice, Mr. Otte is responsible for all parametric model training, systems development, special projects and professional services for North America.
Mr. Otte has developed Composite Material Technology Tables for the PRICE H Model and has assisted cost analysts in completing numerous PRICE Model estimates, along with deriving cost estimating factors, and detailed estimates. Mr. Otte is a Subject Matter Expert in Integrated Product Solutions; teaching training courses, and providing consulting services for clients using the PRICE Estimating Suite of parametric cost models or other required estimating methodologies.
Mr. Otte is a member of several professional organizations including, International Society of Parametric Analysts, Space Systems Cost Analysis Group, and the Society of Cost Estimating and Analysis.
