The webinar Exploring Uncertainty and Risk will discuss the difference between uncertainty and risk, known unknowns and unknown unknowns, frequency and consequence, a simple way to quantify uncertainty, and bias.
Speaker: Kurt Brunner, Leidos
Kurt Brunner has over 45 years of aerospace and electronics cost and resource estimating experience supporting contractors and government agencies. Kurt has developed several estimating models and is a recognized authority on Improvement Curves and Uncertainty, having contributed to the Air Force Cost Risk Handbook. He holds a CCEA-P credential, and is a founding member of ICEAA, as well as having previously been a SoCal chapter president. In 2010 ICEAA’s predecessor organization, ISPA, recognized his achievements with the Keith Burbridge service award. He has a degree in Anthropology from San Diego State University. Kurt is now semi-retired and is a Consulting Employee in the role of the Senior Principal Parametric Cost Estimator for Leidos. In his spare time, he races vintage motorcycles and tends to his Dalmatian plantation in the Mojave Desert.
