The Ferryfield Group presents:
Road-mapping to Project Risk Modelling Maturity:
Integrating Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis
Doug Oldfield
January 18, 2024  |  12:00-1:00pm (east)

Project risk analysis often involves silos of cost estimators, planners, and risk managers producing independent forecasts for cost uncertainty, duration uncertainty, and risk exposure. However, recommended best practice on large projects is an integrated cost & schedule risk analysis model, which many organisations struggle to implement.

This hands-on presentation will begin by exploring the techniques – and challenges – involved in building quantitative project risk models from the perspective of cost and schedule separately. We’ll then look at how we can bring the two disciplines together in a holistic model, by using a shared risk register, and by linking costs to activities in a schedule. Finally, we will see the results of the analysis, and explore how organisations can leverage these insights to better achieve project objectives.
