DESCRIPTION:The members of the ICEAA cost community employed by Original Equipment Manufacturers face challenges that differ from those employed by the government or other private sector organizations.  To identify\, acknowledge\, and address these challenges\, ICEAA has formed the OEM COG: the Original Equipment Manufacturers’ Cooperative Opportunities Group. \n  \nThe mission of the OEM COG is to create a dialogue between ICEAA and our OEM members\, explore ways ICEAA can provide support and solutions tailored to our OEM community\, and provide a forum where members from various OEM organizations can communicate and share best practices. \n

SUMMARY:ICEAA Greater Alabama Chapter Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Greater Alabama Chapter of ICEAA will be conducting a virtual meeting on February 23rd at 11 AM Central Standard Time. \nDr. Christian Smart\, ICEAA’s VP for Professional Development and a long-time board member of the Greater Alabama chapter\, will discuss current ICEAA initiatives related to professional development\, including the online PCEA and CCEA exams\, development of a Software Cost Estimating Body of Knowledge and an associated specialty certifications\, and plans for the 2021 virtual ICEAA workshops. \nTeresa Brown\, Training Chair for the Greater Alabama Chapter\, will discuss the plan for the upcoming chapter certification preparation training\, which will be offered in a virtual format this year. The chapter is looking for input from members on dates and times for the training. \nDr. Smart will then provide a presentation titled “Risk Management for Irregular Events – Handling Unknown Unknowns\, Black Swans\, and Other Rare Hazards”
