SUMMARY:DC Chapter Virtual AfterWork
DESCRIPTION:ICEAA Washington Capital Area Chapter is excited to invite you to the Chapter’s first virtual ICEAA AfterWork. \nICEAA AfterWork is a forum where current and next generation leaders of the cost estimating and analysis community can come together to discuss lessons learned from the past\, the challenges of today\, and the path forward for growing the size and relevance of the cost community and advancing the state of the art to better serve current and next generation customers. The format will be slightly different than the chapter’s last ICEAA AfterWork due to the virtual nature of the event\, but we hope to start providing professional networking opportunities as soon as we can. \nFor more information on ICEAA AfterWork\, please visit the Washington Capital Area Chapter website. \nOur distinguished speaker for this event will be Mr. Chris Deegan\, President and Chief Executive of the nation’s largest independent ship design and naval architecture company\, Gibbs & Cox. Inc. He joined Gibbs & Cox as the Engineering Group Vice President in 2013 following a distinguished 28 year career with the US Navy. He began his federal career as a Cost Intern in 1985\, and after several program management tours\, held executive positions leading the Navy’s Cost Engineering and Industrial Analysis community\, as Director of the Naval Center for Cost Analysis in 2003-2004\, and the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA 05C) from 2004-2008. Chris will share how being grounded as a cost professional is an excellent foundation for organizational and business leadership in your future. \n  \nRegistration is open to everyone – you do not need to be an ICEAA Member.
